New Free Travel App for San Francisco and New York

Mingle

I’ve been a bad, bad blogger. As some of you know, a few months back I took a job at Facebook and since then my focus has shifted from this site. All my time has been spent working and I’ve done very little travel and so there’s not been a lot to share here.

That’s where Mingle San Francisco and New York come in!

My husband Dan and his friend have just today (hot off the presses) launched their first free iPhone and iPad app for San Francisco and New York. Mingle is pretty special. It pulls near real-time social data about bars and restaurants and let’s you find cool spots while you’re out on the town.

It’s got nifty sorting options so you can decide to see information on places that are

  • Popular with tourists or locals
  • Drink or food focused
  • Frequented by men or women
Best of all, you can see which places are popular right now – or quiet, in case you’re looking for a more intimate spot.

Enough prattle! It’s awesome, it’s free and you should definitely go and download it right now!
